supervisors, and consultants to agencies, schools, hospitals, corporations and other employers for
inclusion in hiring policy and practices.

Diversity Committee:
Goals
include: implementing strategies to recruit, retain and
promote at all levels of the CAMFT diverse staff and leadership;
ensuring that CAMFT members at all levels
have access to and receive ongoing diversity education and
training; and developing participatory and collaborative
partnerships with diverse community agencies, groups and
organizations.

Elections
Committee: Constructs
the slate of persons who will run
for CAMFT office. This committee consists of the Past President, in an advisory capacity,
and three elected members. Committee Meetings: once briefly (30 min.) in May
or June and once in November (2 hrs.) to count ballots. In between,
solicits nominations for office from members. Meeting place:
Traditionally, the ballot counting takes place at Holiday Inn in North
Haven on a Friday. Other meetings are as needed.

Executive Committee:
: Consists
of the President, Past President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive
Director. This committee supports and expedites the meeting agendas and work of the CAMFT

Finance Committee:
Oversees
the management of funds for duly authorized purposes of CAMFT; expands the
Board’s understanding and implementation of the organization’s financial
resources and develops new strategies to increase income and expand
financial services. Committee
Meetings: The Finance Committee
has six members. We meet two or three times during the year to propose the
annual budget. We also correspond by email about financial issues. Meeting

Fund Raising Committee:
Develops
and implements new strategies to increase non-dues revenue.
Managed Health Care Committee:
Advocates for MFTs and mental health consumers in the managed health care environment in
Connecticut. Monitors current trends in health care; identifies managed health care
programs which include MFTs on their provider panels, and actively educates
nonparticipating managed health programs regarding practice, effectiveness, benefits and
accessibility of MFT, for greater inclusion of MFTs as providers. Educates MFTS regarding
alternative options to managed care. Meeting
place: Shelton area.
Marketing Committee:
The
'umbrella' committee which integrates all CAMFT committee work into a marketing plan
that positions MFTs as 'therapists, employees and consultants of choice' for the new
millennium. Specifically, the committee is responsible for the design, execution and
analysis of market research to develop a CAMFT marketing plan to position appropriate MFT
'products' and convey the value of these products to the MFT consumer. The marketing
committee also designs these 'products' and disseminates them to CAMFT members and the
public. Meetings held six times per year at Friendly's in Milford, just
off exit 39 of Rt. 95.

Membership Committee:
Welcomes new members and tracks status changes; provides information regarding current
CAMFT objectives and activities; invites participation on committees and strives to
increase membership networking within CAMFT.Meetings:
One Friday a month from September through June from 8:45 to 10AM.

Professional Development Committee: Develops training and education opportunities for CAMFT members. The
Program Committee is a sub-committee of the Professional Development Committee.
Program Committee: Plans, organizes and executes CAMFT
Conferences. The Program Steering Committee is a supervisory group responsible for
developing and recommending conference themes that promote the CAMFT mission.
Meetings: Infrequent-waiting on the regulations
or working on the conference issues. We need to schedule monthly
meetings. Meeting Place: Newtown or on conference calls.
